Aldonsa Tejada, Advisement Coordinator
Conference Role: Industry Professionals and Organizations, Professional Development
Aldonsa is an Academic Adviser in the Colin Powell School's Office of Student Success at the City College of New York. She graduated in 2011 with a B.A. in Psychology. As part of the conference committee, she communicates with industry professionals and organizations and connects these experiences and opportunities back to students. Aldonsa is very friendly, enjoys talking to people, and is consistently the most fashionable person amongst the staff. At the office she can be found drinking water and eating chocolates.

Brooke Rocchino, Interim Program Manager
Conference Role: Chair
Brooke manages the Partners for Change Fellowship and the Economics and Business Mentoring Program. In her previous role as Student Advocate in the Office of Student Success, Brooke helped students identify resources on campus, clarify college policies, and troubleshoot concerns. Her interest in supporting students sprung out of her first AmeriCorps experience as a Jumpstart member in college. Brooke recently visited Scotland and has some great recommendations. At the office, Brooke can be found making tea and putting anxious students at ease.

Habibat Shittu, Student Advocate
Conference Role: Student Recruitment, Pre-Conference and Post-Conference Workshops
Habibat is a native Nigerian, New York City based community organizer, and scholar. She graduated with a Sociology degree with minors in Black Studies and Studio Art from City College, and was a Partners for Change Fellow. Habibat loves assisting students succeed academically, personally, and professionally. At the office, you can find her livening up the space through her joyful corner and sharing sweets. Habibat interests include spending time with loved ones, reading books, helping people grow, listening to music, and watching people, in other words, being a sociologist.

Justine Leonard, Student Advocate
Conference Role: Industry Professionals and Organizations, Day-Of Logistics
Justine works in the Office of Student Success to assist students in figuring out the bureaucratic world of City College. She is a recent City College graduate, holding a B.A. in Sociology. Prior to coming to the Office of Student Success, she helped out in the Sophie Davis School’s CHASM office while taking classes. At the office, Justine is rarely seen as she vigilantly advocates on students' behalf, unless she’s working on a project that has her glued to her desk. When you do find her, she might be one of those awesome people greeting you as you enter.

Katherine Cho, Conference Founder
Katherine manages the Community Engagement Fellowship, Koch Fellowship, Involvement Conference, and student club development. Concurrently, she is finishing up her M.A. in Sociology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. Prior to coming to the Office of Student Success, Katherine worked with a service-learning educational K-12 nonprofit. At the office, Katherine can be found eating Hot Cheetos and scouring books and articles to include in her fellowship syllabi, much to the consternation of students.

Tiffany Scruggs, Administrative Assistant
Conference Role: Student Recruitment, Media and Communication
Tiffany works in the Office of Student Success assisting in all things administration. In her role with the Involvement Conference, Tiffany ensures that students' interests, passions, and possible career paths intersect with the amazing work in NYC's public sector. In addition, Tiffany is handling day-of logistics and keeping everyone calm and well-informed on February 19. At the office, Tiffany can be found juggling several projects at once and multitasking like you would not believe. She also always knows where to find the best pens.

Wanda Mercado, Director of Operations
Conference Role: Conference Event-Planning Advisor
Wanda keeps the Office of Student Success running through her diligent and often very detail-oriented work handling all the behind-the-scenes operations. As the event-planning advisor, Wanda bestows her infinite wisdom in budgeting, logistics, and organization to the conference committee. Wanda loves Star Wars and Müller yogurt, which has unfortunately stopped selling in the U.S. due to the company's terminated contract with Pepsi. At the office, Wanda can be found drinking coffee and pouring over Excel spreadsheets.
