Involvement Conference 2017 UPDATE
Dear Students, Alumni, Staff, and Partner Organizations,
Since 2013, the Involvement Conference has connected City College students with over one hundred industry professionals and ninety non-profit organizations in an effort to expose students to the variety of career opportunities in the public sector. One of the highlights of our year has been encouraging students to connect their skills and interests to career pathways and learning about the work that our partner organizations accomplish here in New York City. Therefore, it is with great sadness that we announce we will not be moving forward with plans for the 2017 Involvement Conference due to recent changes to our budget. While we are disappointed to lose this opportunity to connect students and organizations, as with any bad news, we are mindful of the silver lining: the opportunity to explore the ways in which we can more efficiently serve our student population. We hope that over the next several months we can keep you informed about our progress as we find ways to keep this vibrant and engaged community of students, alumni, and professionals in conversation with each other about the important work of civic engagement in New York City.
An event like the Involvement Conference requires a lot of moving pieces and long-term planning from a network of individuals, including our planning committee, student clubs, and partner organizations. We are humbled and grateful for the support we have received, and we would like to thank everyone who has helped make this event a success year after year. We look forward to finding new ways to connect in the future.
Sincerely,
The Involvement Conference Planning Committee
