About the ConferenceEstablished in 2013, the Involvement Conference began with a clear objective: to expose students to the variety of professional options and possibilities available in the public sector. Whatever the prospects offer—whether it’s work in a nonprofit organization, government agency, or anything else—let's begin thinking more expansively about ways you can connect your skills and expertise to the opportunities afforded by a career in public service.
In order to carry out such a task, the Involvement Conference utilizes a large network of key players moving behind the scenes, including our conference organizers (who comprise the planning committee), our partners and student clubs, as well as the extensive support from City College faculty, staff, departments, and offices. For a glimpse behind the conference execution, we look forward to unveiling our Involvement Conference blog - stay tuned! |
About the Office of Student Success
The Office of Student Success serves as a central hub for students throughout the Colin Powell School and aims to support students through a wide variety of initiatives, activities, and programs. Its primary responsibilities include academic advising, academic support services, scholarship and fellowship programs, support for student clubs and activities, and building community through events, peer mentoring, and student activities. The office's main goal is simple: to support students to and through graduation. That means ensuring that each student has a robust academic experience, a series of rich extracurricular opportunities, and a plan to transition from graduation to the next step seamlessly and productively.
